Position Details
We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Strategic Planner (Fixed Term until 6 February 2026) to join the the Housing, Building and Land Delivery (HBLD) group of the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP).
The role assists with and manages the preparation of strategic plans for places, for example structure plans, precinct structure plans, comprehensive development plans, growth frameworks and supporting infrastructure contribution plans, for places in established and growth areas of metropolitan Melbourne, as well as regional cities and towns.
You may also be implementing process enhancements as part of our new PSP (Precinct Structure Plan) 2.0 preparation process outlined in the PSP Guidelines (2021).
The role works alongside a team of professionals at VPA with a broad set of skills, which includes consideration of sustainability, transport, community services, open space, and other essential infrastructure.
