Position Details

2026 Graduate Nurse Program - Registered Nurse

Applications for the 2026 RN Graduate Program open on Monday, June 2, and close on Wednesday, July 2, 2025.

The program is offered part-time at 0.8 EFT over 12 months.
There will be six positions available in 2026, commencing on 23 February 2026, concluding on 28 February 2027.

The program includes two six-month rotations—one in an acute care setting and one in aged care. Candidates will be supported by Nurse Educators and experienced clinicians in each clinical area.

During the first week, a comprehensive orientation program is provided before commencement in the allocated clinical area. Throughout the graduate year, four study days will be held, featuring practical clinical skills sessions, presentations, and simulation scenarios.

Ongoing support from ward preceptors will be available, in addition to graduate support from the Learning and Development team.

Upon successful completion of the Registered Nurse Graduate Program, there may be opportunities for ongoing employment at one of the campuses across Central Highlands Rural Health.

Details of Appointment:

Part time, 12 month fixed-term position working 64 hours per fortnight, commencing on 23 February 2026, concluding on 28 February 2027

Salary:

YP2 $41.36 per hour + Superannuation

Central Highlands Rural Health (CHRH) is a rural health organisation that operates five campuses across Hepburn Shire and the Macedon Ranges in the Central Highlands of Victoria in Australia, north and north-west of Melbourne. It was formed through the voluntary amalgamation of Hepburn Health Service and Kyneton District Health on the 30th November 2019. Each of our campuses retains the name of the township in which they are situated - Clunes Health, Creswick Health, Daylesford Health, Kyneton Health, and Trentham Health.
