About the role
South West Healthcare's Camperdown Operating Theatre is currently seeking a skilled and qualified Registered Nurse to join our dynamic Theatre Nursing team in a part-time capacity. In this role, you will work alongside a range of medical and clinical professionals to deliver safe, high-quality care and positive outcomes for patients and their families.
This is a great opportunity for a Registered Nurse with a passion for perioperative care to become part of a supportive and collaborative team at our Camperdown Campus.
Our recently refurbished, fully equipped Operating Theatre - completed in 2023 delivers a range of Planned Surgical Services to the local community and surrounding regions. The theatre supports procedures across a variety of specialties, including endoscopy, general surgery, urology, gynaecology, minor plastics and Obstetric Services. The majority of our client base is day stay surgery. The Operating Theatre works closely with the Acute ward at Camperdown.
Operating 7 to 8 days per fortnight, the Camperdown Operating Theatre plays a vital role in improving surgical access and reducing wait times in our rural setting. You will be joining a team that is committed to delivering safe, compassionate, and patient-centred care in a modern and progressive environment.
Position Overview
- Employment Type: Permanent part time (64hours per fortnight)
- Location: Camperdown Campus
- Classification: Registered Nurse Grade 2
- Salary Range: $83,803.20 to $103,152.40 per annum, plus superannuation
What You Bring:
- Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Well-developed clinical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication skills at all levels.
- Commitment to ongoing education and professional development.
- A post-graduate qualification in peri-operative nursing is desired but not essential.
