Position Details

South West Healthcare is seeking an Advanced Training Paediatric Registrar to join our enthusiastic and supportive team in Warrnambool from February 2026. This role provides broad clinical exposure in both general paediatrics and neonatology, all within a well-resourced regional setting.

You'll be part of a dedicated team of four full-time paediatricians who are committed to delivering high-quality education, supervision, and mentorship.

This standalone Core General Paediatrics (Advanced Training) position is available in the following flexible formats:

  • A full-time 6-month placement
  • An extended 12-month appointment
  • A job-share arrangement (6 or 12 months) - applicants must submit a joint application

 Key features of the role include:

  • A 10-bed general paediatric ward and a 6-bed Special Care Nursery
  • Weekly outpatient clinics with regular exposure to developmental, behavioural, and diabetes cases
  • Onsite support from our Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team
  • Structured, consultant-led teaching sessions
