Position Details

About the role: 

The Principal Compliance Officer provides expert regulatory advice related to various health regulatory sectors, focussing on Assisted Reproductive Treatment, Human Tissue, Child Safe Standards-Health entities, Non-Emergency Patient Transport and First Aid. Working across the different sectors, the Principal Compliance Officer will use their expert knowledge and experience to design, lead, coordinate and administer the team's regulatory functions and monitor and enforce compliance in accordance with the relevant legislation.

About you:

  • Interested in working in a dynamic regulatory environment, taking a risk-based approach to compliance and investigation across a broad range of regulatory domains and taking appropriate regulatory action.
  • Able to provide advanced expertise and advice into the development of regulatory responses to address emerging issues and areas of risk for government, department and the community.
  • Able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changing priorities with the ability to meet deadlines while working in fast paced and high-pressured situations.
  • Certificate IV in Government Investigations  
  • Additional tertiary qualification in a relevant field (regulation, law, or Ahpra registered health professional – paramedic, or nurse with experience in assisted reproductive treatment) would be highly regarded.
