    About the Role

    This role provides comprehensive support to the coordination of emergency management arrangements. Specifically, the position provides operational planning and policy support to the CFA Region under the guidance of the ACFO Regional Commander.

    You will contribute to the continued benchmarking and improvement of operational service delivery across the eight CFA Regions. Additionally, you will coordinate emergency management arrangements, including response plans, training and exercises and work collaboratively with other emergency services, government agencies and community groups to enhance emergency management capabilities.

    Your ability to develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including internal and external partners, to facilitate effective emergency management is paramount.

    About You

    Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following:

    • Demonstrated experience and/or knowledge and understanding of Victorian fire and emergency management arrangements.
    • Ability to independently manage multiple projects, with planning and prioritisation of duties to meet objectives and deadlines.
    • Demonstrated experience in development and implementation of organisation wide and multi-agency policy and programs.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including verbal, written and negotiating abilities, with the ability to manage relationships and represent organisational interests.
    • Demonstrated research, analytical and problem-solving skills providing written recommendations and reports.
    • Demonstrated ability to work as an effective team member to maximise the effectiveness and efficiency of the Regions administrative function.
    • Demonstrated ability to work in dynamic, high pressure environments under minimal supervision.
    • High level experience utilising administrative and clerical systems and processes, including the use of Microsoft Office suite
