About us

The Portable Long Service Authority (the Authority) is a self-funded statutory body established to administer the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018. The Act, together with the Long Service Benefits Portability Regulations 2020 provide a Portable Long Service Benefits Scheme. The Authority plays an important role in allowing workers in the community services, contract cleaning and security industries to build up long service benefits based on time in their industry rather than with a single employer. We foster an inclusive and collaborative culture that celebrates achievements and allows everyone to contribute to our success.

About the role

The Senior Engagement Adviser is responsible for developing and implementing a stakeholder engagement and education strategy, informed by behavioural insights, compliance data and stakeholder analysis to promote compliance with the Long Service Benefits Portability Act 2018 legislation. The role involves leading stakeholder engagement activities in line with an existing communications and engagement strategy that strengthen external relationships and support legislative compliance.

About you

You will have demonstrated expertise in the development and delivery of engagement initiatives and behaviour change initiatives, with an innovative and solutions focused ability to resolve complex matters and build beneficial partnerships with key stakeholders.

Your written communication and editing skills will be outstanding and show a depth of understanding to meet the needs of relevant target audiences ensuring the message is understood and actioned accordingly. You also possess strong verbal and presentation skills.

Along with a tertiary or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, you will be able to demonstrate strong self-management and organisational skills with a proven level of proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office suite of products.
