The Freedom of Information Officer will assist the department in complying with its obligations under the Freedom of Information Act 1982. The position will provide authoritative and timely advice and assistance to departmental staff and the public in relation to the administration of Freedom of Information (FOI), including providing appropriate monitoring and reporting for both internal and external audiences.

If you have excellent communication and negotiation skills with a capacity to provide accurate and timely advice to department staff and members of the public, you are strongly encouraged to apply. A relevant legal qualification or experience in legal research and interpretation of law is desirable.

This is a fixed term position for a period 19 March 2019
