SCOPING AND DEVELOPMENT OFFICER

Salary range - $90,067 - $102,192 per annum plus superannuation

Employment type - Ongoing – full time (the department provides flexible working arrangements)

Usual work location - Hume Region (negotiable)

About the role

The Scoping and Development Officer sits within Regional Transport and is the design lead on a range of integrated transport projects that will be delivered in Regional Victoria. The Scoping and Development Officer will produce high quality transport project designs ready for handover for delivery ensuring stakeholder requirements are integrated.

About You

As our ideal applicant, you will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Degree or Certificate in Civil Construction or Civil Design (Mandatory)
  • Partnering and Co-creation (Applied) –Identifies and partners with users/stakeholders/ experts to ensure active collaboration in the design process to understand user needs, obtain ideas, insights and input. Work with stakeholders/users to build prototypes and coordinate testing to validate the strategy, program or product. Ensures decisions are made within agreed timeframes.
  • Critical Thinking and Problem Solving (Foundational) –Seeks resolution of problems through policy or process guidelines; Otherwise seeks guidance by providing information and ideas relevant towards resolution of problem. Understands concepts enabling improvements in critical thinking and problem solving.
  • Project Delivery (Applied) – Defines tasks to be delivered to meet agreed outcomes; Coordinates and guides others in the execution of work activities; Monitors progress of tasks against plans and takes corrective action when required.
  • Digital and Technological Literacy (Applied) – Guides other in operating digital and technology tools relevant to area of work. Understands the impact of internal IT landscape to daily operations; Has broad understanding on implementation activities related to the introduction and ongoing maintenance of new digital and technology tools.
  • Customer Focus (Accomplished) – Identifies and responds to customer requirements; Use understanding of the customers' context to tailor services and ensure outcomes are delivered; Effectively manages risks to service delivery.
