Position Details
About the role:
The Project Officer, Translational Research, plays a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality, state-supported services that underpin Victoria's health and medical research sector. Working under the direction of the Coordinator - Translational Research and within the framework of the Victorian Health and Medical Research Strategy, the Project Officer contributes to strengthening the systems, infrastructure, and partnerships that enable impactful, ethically sound, and governance-compliant health research across the state.
Based within Safer Care Victoria, the Project Officer assists in the development and implementation of internal systems and processes that promote research engagement, integration, and capability across the health system. This includes supporting the establishment and coordination of the Health Research Victoria Network (HRVN) and its key deliverables. The HRVN is a collaborative platform connecting stakeholders across research, clinical, industry, academic, and policy sectors to drive alignment and innovation.
In addition, the Project Officer supports change management initiatives led by the Manager and Coordinator, contributing to the implementation of reforms that enhance the efficiency, quality, and responsiveness of Victoria's research ecosystem. This may include operational and document support for the relationship management of the SCV funded Clinical Quality Registries.
Through strong organisational skills, stakeholder engagement, and a commitment to continuous learning, the Project Officer helps ensure that Victoria's research infrastructure remains responsive, future-focused, and aligned with both state and national priorities.
