Position Details

An exciting opportunity exists for a talented and passionate individual to join the public Administration Group, Cabinet and Governance Branch as Correspondence and Information Officer at the Department of Premier and Cabinet.

The Cabinet and Governance Branch provides high-quality, strategic analysis and advice on public sector administration and workforce matters and the institutions of government, including the Office of the Governor, Parliament, Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Commission, the Victorian Public Sector Commission and the Office of the Chief Parliamentary Counsel.

The Correspondence and Information Officer has a crucial role delivering Ministerial correspondence support to the Premier and other portfolio DPC ministers as well as records management responsibilities.

You will use your excellent written and verbal communication skills to interact with stakeholders from across departments, Ministerial offices, and the public to handle requests and provide guidance and advice. Strong attention to detail and professional integrity are required to work with complex and highly confidential documents.

About you

As our ideal candidate you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience providing high quality correspondence and administrative support.
  • Well developed verbal and written communication skills and ability to build relationships with a range of stakeholders.
  • Highly developed strategic planning and organising skills, including ability to prioritise workload.
  • Sound problem solving skills and ability to analyses ideas available and take action to resolve problems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to understand needs and wants of stakeholders and their impact on service delivery.
