  • Salary Range: $83,803.20 - $103,152.40 pro rata, plus superannuation

About the role

An exciting opportunity exists for a passionate and committed Registered Midwife to join the Maternity Unit team at South West Healthcare (SWH) on a two-year fixed-term basis.

Our maternity service provides pregnancy, intrapartum, and postnatal care to more than 750 families each year, supporting both low and moderate risk pregnancies. The unit includes four birthing suites, twelve antenatal/postnatal rooms and six special care nursery cots. With over 700 births annually, you will be part of a friendly, fun and highly skilled multidisciplinary team that takes pride in providing exceptional family-centred care.

In this role, you will plan, implement, evaluate and maintain high standards of midwifery care to achieve optimal clinical outcomes. You will recognise and respect the individual needs, culture, values and dignity of every woman and family in your care, while working within a service that values continuity, empowerment, and compassion.

This position provides the opportunity to work across all areas of maternity, including antenatal, birthing, postnatal and neonatal nursery care, allowing you to use your full scope of practice while continuing to develop your professional skills in a collaborative, supportive, and fun team environment.
