Enrolled Nurse / Registered Nurse / Midwife - Casual

Currently we are seeking applications from Registered and Enrolled Nurses for our casual bank which also provides the opportunity to undertake fixed term contracts to cover planned leave. These opportunities are in a range of clinical areas including:

  • Acute ward including dialysis, oncology and maternity;
  • Urgent Care Centre;
  • Theatre;
  • Aged Care at Maryborough, Avoca and Dunolly
  • Knowledge of the Montesorri Model of Care
  • Basic Life Support Certificate

 

KEY SELECTION CRITERIA

Enrolled Nursing Level 2 (Medication Endorsed)

Essential

KSC1 - Demonstration of an NMBA approved qualification in administration of medicines with an Administration of Medication Scope of up to four/five routes (as applicable)

KSC2 - Demonstrates people and communication skills including relationship building, co-operation, conflict resolution, influencing others and facilitating open discussions

KSC3 - Demonstrates person-centred focus, adaptability, respecting diversity, innovative thinking, application of evidence into practice and self-management

KSC4 - Demonstrates awareness of own values and beliefs surrounding healthcare with an ability to identify and respect an alternative view

KSC5 - Awareness of limitations in own knowledge and seek appropriate education and training as required

KSC6 - EN who demonstrates commitment to professional development, maintaining a record of Continuing Professional Development (CPD) as per the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Authority (AHPRA) requirements

KSC7 - Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to   ensure working within current scope of practice.

Registered Nurse

KSC1 - Sound understanding of the role and responsibilities of a Registered Nurse

KSC2 - Demonstrated organisational skills particularly with respect to time management.

KSC3 - Demonstrated ability to contribute and practise collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.

KSC4 - Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients, visitors and staff at all levels within the organisation.

KSC5 - Have well developed interpersonal skills.

KSC6 - Demonstrated written and computer skills at the level required to fulfil the role.

KSC7 - Demonstrated knowledge of and involvement in evidence-based practice and research activities.

KSC8 - Demonstrated evidence of commitment to ongoing education and professional development to ensure working within current scope of practice.
