About the role

South West Healthcare's Intensive Care Unit is seeking a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to take on a pivotal leadership position as Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM). This is an exciting opportunity to join a progressive team and play a key role in shaping the future of critical care in the South West region.

As an ANUM, you will work closely with the Nurse Unit Manager to lead and support a highly skilled team in delivering exceptional, patient-centred care across a diverse demographic, from neonates to the elderly. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing clinical leadership and guidance to ensure best practice standards.
  • Supporting staff development and fostering a positive, collaborative team culture.
  • Managing resources effectively to maintain operational excellence.
  • Driving quality outcomes and continuous improvement initiatives.

This role offers the chance to influence patient care at a high level while advancing your leadership career in a dynamic and growing ICU environment.

Position overview

  • Employment Type: Part-time (64 hours per fortnight), On-going position
  • Location: Warrnambool Campus

  • Salary Range: $116,911.60 - $120,848 pro rata, plus superannuation

What you bring

  • A Registered Nurse - holding a current Registration Certificate as required by the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Relevant postgraduate/tertiary qualification in Intensive Care/Emergency Nursing
  • A minimum of five years post graduate nursing experience, with demonstrated excellent clinical assessment skills.
  • Demonstrated strong clinical, safety and professional standards within the Critical Care environment, including patient centred care.
  • Demonstrated ability to serve as a role model, effectively solve problems, and provide strong supervision and support to staff.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate orally, electronically and in writing.
  • Demonstrated commitment to professional development of self and others.

Desirable

  • Relevant postgraduate/tertiary qualifications in Management
