Position Details
Position: Registered Nurse - Surgical Services
- Employment Type: Part Time (40 hours per fortnight), Fixed Term (Parental Leave)
- Term: 16 March 2026 to the end of January 2027
- Location: Warrnambool Campus
- Classification: Registered Nurse Grade 2
- Salary: $83,803.20 - $103,152.40 pro rata, plus superannuation
About the role
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Registered Nurse to join our Surgical Services team in a fixed-term parental leave cover position. This role offers the chance to step into a well-supported, fast-paced surgical environment where you can make a meaningful contribution to patient care.
Our Surgical Services Unit provides care across a broad range of elective and emergency surgical specialties, including Orthopaedics, Plastics, Urology and General Surgery. You will work alongside a highly skilled and collaborative multidisciplinary team, delivering safe, high-quality, patient-centred care throughout the perioperative journey.
This position is perfect for nurses looking to broaden their surgical experience, gain hands-on exposure to multiple specialties, and enjoy part-time work within a supportive clinical setting.
What you bring
The successful applicant will:
- Hold current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, with a minimum of 12 months relevant experience, preferably in a surgical setting
- Demonstrate a strong commitment to professional confidentiality and provide patient-centred care in a safe and caring environment
- Display excellent time management, organisational, and communication skills
- Show evidence of a commitment to ongoing education and professional development, which will be highly regarded
