Position Details

About the role: 

The Manager, Donor Conception Registers is responsible for leading the statutory administration of the donor conception registers within the Department of Health and performing the functions of the Registrar of the donor conception registers under the Assisted Reproductive Treatment Act 2008. 

The role is also responsible for ensuring the delivery of safe, consistent and lawful registry services, including support for applicants, service users and individuals affected by outreach or disclosure.

About you:

To be successful in this role you require the following skills

  • Process and systems improvement - Experience designing, refining and assuring complex operational processes.
  • Leadership - Proven experience leading operational teams, including performance management, capability development and staff wellbeing.
  • Communication - Empathetic with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to work collaboratively and build effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders in the community and the public and private sectors.

Qualifications/Specialist Experience:

  • Relevant tertiary qualification in the fields of Health, Public Health, Business Management or other discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience and achievement in a regulatory or statutory environment, including management of databases or registers containing sensitive personal information, and oversight of data integrity, privacy and disclosure processes.
