Position Details

Do you have strong communication, interpersonal and analytical skills and like working in a fast-paced team environment? This may be the role for you.

The Reportable Conduct Scheme (the Scheme) seeks to improve how organisations identify and respond to allegations of child abuse and misconduct. Working as part of the Regulatory Advisory team, the Case Manager has a key role in the oversight of investigations and analysis of findings made by organisations under the Scheme. This includes applying an analytical focus to validate critical information, identifying risks to prioritise the safety of children, reviewing investigations and engaging with organisations to ensure compliance. The Case Manager will also respond to a range of enquiries about the Scheme by phone and email.

Multiple roles have been advertised for the Reportable Conduct Scheme. Please check other advertised roles to identify those that are the best fit for your skills and experience.

In this role you will:

  • Work within a risk-based framework to oversight and manage a case load of reportable conduct investigations undertaken by organisations subject to the Reportable Conduct Scheme (the Scheme).
  • Prepare written analysis of an organisation's investigation and findings, and respond to incoming enquiries, phone calls and written correspondence.
  • Engage with organisations and members of the public, including parents and carers and victim survivors, about the Scheme
  • Provide advice to organisations to support appropriate investigations and drive compliance with the Scheme.

As our ideal candidate, you will:

  • Possess sound analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Have well developed verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to manage a range of competing priorities and work independently and as part of a team.
  • Have experience in a regulatory environment and/or in an organisation or area related to the safety and wellbeing of children and young people.
  • Be empathetic and able to work in a fast-paced environment

How to Apply

Please include a resume and covering letter.

There will be questions pertaining to a number of the position's Key Selection Criteria to which you are required to respond. There is no need to respond to the selection criteria itself.

Please note that the Victorian Government has announced that the Reportable Conduct and Child Safe Standards functions will transfer from the Commission to the Social Services Regulator.  Whilst recruitment to this role will commence at the Commission, this role will commence at the Social Services Regulator.

Applications close at 11.59pm on 25 February 2026.
