About the role

South West Healthcare's (SWH) Physiotherapy Department provides best practice, patient centred care to patients and clients across a variety of settings including inpatient wards and the community setting.        

We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapists to join our large, vibrant, supportive and passionate team of 23 Physiotherapists, 9 Allied Health Assistants & 2 Exercise Physiologists. This Grade 1 role will work in a rotational position across a range of clinical area areas including inpatient wards such as surgical, medical, acute, ICU and rehabilitation along with community-based programs including musculoskeletal and rehabilitation programs- both centre and home based. 

We are a large regional health service with multiple campuses and strong partnerships that enable us to provide therapy onsite at smaller regional health facilities. In this role, the Grade 1 Physiotherapist will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to complete assessments and contribute to the clinical planning of individualised care for clients and their families, using a range of therapeutic approaches to support client goals.

The position includes dedicated funding for training and access to regular supervision within a collaborative, positive and supportive team culture. What you bring

  • Bachelor of Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Physiotherapist
  • As a Physiotherapist you will have experience and skills delivering a broad range of clinical services, including assessment, referral and treatment, to individuals and their families across a variety of settings.
  • Working as part of a collaborative and highly skilled team of professionals, excellent verbal and written communications skills are essential, and a comprehensive understanding and knowledge of legislation, regulation and contemporary practice is a must.
  • Newly graduated and experienced Physiotherapists are encouraged to apply.
