Can you tell me more about what you do at VLSB+C?
Great question! We're really proud of the work we do. We are the regulator of the Victorian legal profession. We license lawyers and oversee service standards and conduct. This includes handling complaints about lawyers, investigating poor conduct and overseeing management of trust accounts. We are also the stewards of the public purpose and fidelity funds and administer these to support legal regulation and access to justice in Victoria.
We are a modern best practice regulator, using data and insights to help identify where our actions can have the greatest impact on ensuring ethical and professional legal practice by Victorian lawyers. We are passionate about maintaining and protecting the rule of law by ensuring the integrity of the legal profession.
Okay, and what role are you recruiting for?
We are seeking a Manager, Funding Programs & Partnerships to join us on a fixed term basis until end of May 2027. This position plays a critical leadership role, leading and managing a team responsible for coordinating and overseeing the VLSB+C's funding programs and partnerships. This role is accountable for ensuring the VLSB+C's funding programs and partnerships are coordinated and strategic and that the impact we make as regulator, funder and investor in improving access to justice can be ultimately measured.

We are looking for candidates with the following:
- At least 5 years' experience at a senior level in the development and delivery of a grants program or sponsorship and managing funding programs in a complex and demanding operating environment and/or philanthropy
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing teams, including setting clear direction, fostering collaboration and building capability
- Highly developed stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills, with experience building and sustaining partnerships across diverse sectors, including government, community organisations, academia and/or the legal or justice sector
