About the role

South West Healthcare (SWH) is seeking an experienced and motivated Health Promotion Officer to join our team. This role is primarily based at the Warrnambool campus, with occasional travel to Camperdown and Lismore.

As a key member of the team, you will plan, deliver and evaluate health promotion initiatives in line with the South West Healthcare Health Promotion Plan. This is an exciting opportunity for an organised and capable practitioner to contribute to meaningful health outcomes across our community.

What you bring

The successful applicant will have a demonstrated understanding of the social determinants of health, with high-level project management skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders and health professionals.

The Health Promotion Officer must have excellent oral communication skills including public speaking and presentation skills, and written communication skills including a demonstrated ability to develop concise and accessible briefs, reports and project documents. Ideally, the successful candidates will hold relevant tertiary qualifications in health promotion, public health, nursing or allied health, or a related discipline.
