Position Details

South West Healthcare is seeking an Advanced Training Paediatric Registrar to join our supportive and dynamic team in Warrnambool from February 2027.

 

This position provides broad clinical exposure across general paediatrics and neonatology in a well-resourced rural setting. The unit is staffed by four full-time paediatricians committed to high-quality education, supervision, and mentorship.

 

This standalone Core General Paediatrics (Advanced Training) position can be offered as:
- A full-time 6-month rotation
- An extended 12-month term
- A job share arrangement (either 6 or 12 months), where two trainees submit a joint application

 

The position includes:
- A 10-bed general paediatric ward and 6-bed Special Care Nursery
- Weekly outpatient clinics and regular exposure to behavioural, developmental, and diabetes cases
- Onsite CAMHS support and structured consultant-led teaching
