About the opportunity

As our People Capability Business Partner (PCBP), you'll work hand-in-hand with leaders to identify capability needs, influence learning priorities, and drive the successful adoption of development initiatives across the organisation.

Connecting business challenges with innovative learning solutions, you'll partner with the Capability Architect to design and embed capability programs that deliver measurable performance outcomes, strengthen workforce capability, and create lasting impact.

You will contribute by:

  • Develop strong stakeholder relationships to uncover capability needs, solve business challenges, and support strategic objectives.
  • Lead the end-to-end implementation of learning initiatives, ensuring leaders and teams embrace, apply, and sustain new ways of working.
  • Partner with leaders to uncover capability needs, diagnose performance gaps, and translate business challenges into targeted capability solutions that drive measurable results.
  • Work with People Capability Manager to prioritise learning initiatives based on impact and organisational need.
  • Translate capability needs into relevant learning solutions that drive real workplace outcomes.
  • Champion continuous improvement by tracking outcomes, evaluating effectiveness, and using insights to strengthen learning experiences.

To be successful, you'll have: 

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills.
  • Capability needs analysis and problem diagnosis.
  • Understanding of learning design principles.
  • Commercial and operational awareness.
  • Coaching and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to translate business challenges into practical development solutions.
  • Proven ability to partner with technical experts, operational leaders, and external partners, and to influence capability adoption across the organisation.
  • Experience in leading capability or regulatory development projects, managing competing priorities and embedding change in operational environments.
  • Experience supporting implementation of learning or capability initiatives.
  • Experience in complex, technical, or regulated environments is desirable.
  • Knowledge of adult learning theory and behaviour change principles (desired).
  • Experience in regulated, technical or government environments (desired).
  • Certification in capability modelling, instructional design, or regulatory practice.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications Human Resources, Organisational Psychology, Learning and Development, Organisational Development, or a related discipline (desired).
