Position Details
Position Title: Home Maintenance & Gardener Worker
Classification: GF6
Salary per hour: $37.44 + Casual Loading + superannuation + generous salary packaging options
Employment Type: Casual (1 Friday per fortnight) plus leave backfill at times.
Award: Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Workers (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2025-2027
Role description
We are seeking a reliable, practical and skilled Home Maintenance & Gardener to join our team. The successful candidate will provide general home maintenance, gardening assistance and minor repairs for older people, people with disabilities, carers and families.
The role involves helping clients maintain safe, functional and well-presented homes and outdoor areas. The ideal candidate will have a hands-on approach, good attention to detail and a genuine commitment to providing respectful, friendly and reliable service.
About you
- Proven ability to complete general home maintenance, gardening and minor repair tasks.
- Experience with basic gardening, lawn care, pruning, weeding and general outdoor maintenance.
- Ability to undertake minor home modifications and maintenance tasks safely and effectively.
- Practical, reliable and able to work independently.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Courteous, respectful and helpful when working with clients.
- Ability to respect the rights, privacy, dignity and individual needs of every client.
- Committed to providing a high standard of service and quality workmanship.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must hold a current Victorian Driver's Licence.
