This role is identified as available for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants only. This position is considered to be a ‘special measure' for the purposes of section 12 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic).
The Senior Project Officer, Aboriginal Self-Determination and Reform will support the Manager Funding and Commissiong Reform in the delivery of end-to-end program management of targeted programs to support greater sustainability of the Aboriginal community-controlled sector and delivery of funding investment in line with principles of self-determination and priorities identified in the Victorian Aboriginal Health and Wellbeing Partnership Agreement and Action Plan.

About you:
- Support the implementation of reform activities including assessments, reporting and monitoring and financial acquittals and evaluations, as well as establish new processes and ways of working to elevate Aboriginal voice into the budget and commissioning processes
- Facilitate and strengthen relationships between stakeholders and monitor ongoing projects.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in project support and management.
- Demonstrated knowledge of historical and contemporary issues relating to First Peoples and ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with First Peoples leaders, organisations, and communities.
- Demonstrated experience of enabling First Peoples partnerships in policy or program design and delivery that has resulted in positive outcomes for First Peoples communities.
