    About the Role

    The Fire Equipment Maintenance (FEM) team plays a key role in supporting CFA brigades and communities across Victoria through the servicing of portable fire protection equipment. This permanent full-time, office-based position is located at the Kangaroo Flat office and offers the opportunity to work closely with dedicated volunteers while contributing to community safety. Working hours are Monday to Friday 8:30am to 4:30pm.

    As the FEM Support Officer, you will provide professional customer service and administrative support to CFA Volunteer Servicing Brigades and a range of internal and external customers. With a strong focus on data entry and administrative processing, you will accurately and efficiently manage high volumes of information and respond to enquiries via phone and email.

    In this role you will:

    • Enter and maintain accurate data and records across systems and databases
    • Support and maintain FEM office systems, including SAGE
    • Prepare and manage documents with a high level of accuracy
    • Process basic financial transactions, including bank reconciliations, EFTs, reversals and customer payment reconciliations
    • Manage general office administration, including filing, mail distribution, printing, copying and maintaining office supplies
    • Provide additional support to the team and assist with other duties as required

    • Relevant administrative experience with sound data entry and word processing skills
    • Strong computer literacy skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel
    • Well-developed communication and customer service skills
    • The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
    • Strong organisational skills, particularly in a fast-paced office environment
    • The ability to relate to a volunteer network
