Position Details

  • VPSG4 range $81,354 - $92,304 p.a. + super + leave loading pro rata
  • Full time, fixed term parental leave (12/03/2018 up until 9/03/2019) position available
  • Working within the Strategic Investment, Reporting and Audit Division, Victoria Police Executive located at the Victoria Police Centre, 637 Flinders Street, Docklands*


About the role:

As the successful applicant, you will work in a dynamic environment.

By engaging with subject matter experts and other internal and external stakeholders, you will assist the unit in key projects including the Annual Report, Ministerial, Statutory and Performance reporting.

Some of your duties will include:

Collating data from stakeholders and undertaking quality assurance processes to ensure accuracy and consistency of messaging.

  • Prepare reports, including analysis papers, briefing notes, project proposals, correspondence and submissions for a range of stakeholders.
  • Ensuring reporting processes and procedures and compliant with relevant legislation, regulations, standards, policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships, ongoing communication, consultation and successful negotiations with key personnel.

 
As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Proven project management skills, with a capacity to effectively manage planning and reporting arrangements
  • Ability to conduct research and critically assess collated data and information
  • Well-developed consultancy, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare reports and liaise with senior team members and senior management
  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel
  • Proven ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines under limited supervision
  • Ability to work within a highly sensitive and confidential environment

 
Requirements and relevant information:

*Your usual place of work will be within the Strategic Investment, Reporting and Audit Division, Victoria Police Executive, however you may be required to work at any other division within the Department as required.
