Victoria Police provides policing services to the Victorian community 24 hours a day, seven days a week, working to keep over 5.7 million Victorians safe. Employing more than 18,000 staff across the state, the objective is to deliver a safer Victoria with our partners by providing intelligence and confident policing. Focusing on the development of partnerships and working with the community to empower individuals to build a safer Victoria, this can only be achieved with a workforce capable of meeting the future policing demands. This executive role will work across the entire organisation driving the new capability planning approach and embedding it in policy practice.
Leading a highly skilled team of approximately 150 staff across five divisions, you will report to the Deputy Commissioner, Capability and provide critical support services to the organisation and its staff to meet corporate objectives. These services include corporate performance, community engagement, policing practice reform and strategic policing practice strategy and is also embedding the new capability planning approach across Victoria Police.
A proven executive within complex and sometimes ambiguous settings, you thrive on a dynamic environment. Highly regarded for your leadership, you have the ability to engage well with a diverse range of professionals, bringing differences together to achieve organizational outcomes. You have an understanding of the processes with legislative reform as well as knowledge of capability frameworks. Stakeholder management would be considered a key strength of yours and would be advantageous in setting community engagement frameworks.
