Position Details

As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of administrative support services to members at the Monash Crime Investigation Unit – Oakleigh, Eastern Region, Division 1.

Your duties will include:

  • Provide general office support duties including the operation and maintenance of office equipment.
  • Maintaining accountable documents including data entry, typing and word processing.
  • Prepare routine correspondence on a range of administrative matters and attend to follow-up procedures.
  • Assist with the processing of lost and confiscated property.
  • Attend to telephone and counter enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience in working with computers and various programs to perform a arrange of administrative tasks.
  • Ability to accurately maintain systematic and administrative records whilst meeting strict deadlines with a high attention to detail.
  • Good organisational skills with the ability to multitask.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team environment and work independently.
  • Display initiative and proactive work practices.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of clients both orally and in writing.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) full time, ongoing position available, 20004582
  • Position is located at the Oakleigh Police Station, 1 Atherton Road, Oakleigh.  While this position will have a nominated usual place of work, the position may be required to work at other locations, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or Visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
