As the successful applicant you will undertake a range of administrative functions around the receipt, management and disposal of property items in accordance with police policy and relevant legislation.

You could also be required to undertake various administrative functions including maintenance and management of various records and registers in other departments.

Position Details

Your duties will include:

  • Attending to telephone and customer enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Administer and be accountable for lost and confiscated property.
  • Interpretation of various legislation and policy and processing of a variety of documentation relating to retention and appropriate disposal of property.
  • Manage appropriate storage of property.
  • Undertake Courier and other distribution/transportation functions as required.
  • Assisting as required within the Greater Dandenong Police Service Area (PSA) and Division.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Well-developed computer skills.
  • Adaptable to change.
  • Ability to work successfully within a team environment and ability to work independently.
  • Prioritisation skills and ability to work under pressure.
  • Good communication skills to all internal and external parties.
  • Knowledge of the Justice system in Victoria (desirable).

Requirements and relevant information:

  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
  • One (1) full time, ongoing position available.
