About the Department
The Department of Education is looking for a skilled and passionate social worker, to contribute to the important work of our Student Support Services (SSS) team in the Inner East, within our multidisciplinary team of psychologists, speech pathologists, social workers, and behaviour analysts.
As part of an area-based Health Wellbeing and Inclusion Workforce (HWIW) you will work collaboratively to help build the capability of schools to support student achievement, engagement, and wellbeing and support schools to address the barriers that impact on student(s) access, preparation, and progress towards their educational goals and developmental potential. SSS achieve this through the provision of a range of assessments, strategies and specialized support at individual, group, and school levels.
About the Role
This is a 1.0 FTE fixed term position (until 31st June 2025) within the Student Support Services Inner East Team and will predominantly support schools within the Boroondara LGA. The Inner East SSS Team is based in the Glen Waverley Regional Office.
As an AH 3 social worker you will also be required to *manage a varied caseload *undertake the health and wellbeing key contact function *respond to incidents within schools *contribute to capability building within schools

Desirable Qualifications and Experience
A graduate or post-graduate qualification in Social Work, eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW) and possess a current Australian Drivers' Licence and Working with Children Check.
