About the role:

Victoria Police is currently advertising (1) full-time, fixed-term Executive Assistant until 30 June 2027 within North West Metro Region (NWMR).  As the successful applicant, you will be responsible for providing a broad range of high-level administration services for the NWMR Assistant Commissioner's Office.

Victoria Police is a contemporary and agile workplace and supports flexible working arrangements.

Your duties will include:

  • Provide professional high level administration services to the Assistant Commissioner's Office.
  • Perform a broad range of office support and computer-based tasks, including preparation of reports, general correspondence, keyboard and data entry, spreadsheets, and database activities.
  • Ensure effective delivery of administrative support activities associated within the Region.
  • Arranging appointments, preparing agendas, drafting minutes, and maintaining records and systems within the office.
  • Coordinate, or participate in, a range of projects, including researching and preparing information and briefing reports for senior management and other stakeholders.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of high-quality secretariat and administrative support services.
  • Strong Microsoft Office and computing skills, with a high attention to detail.
  • Effective communication, liaison and interpersonal skills and the ability to liaise with senior management, other government departments and people from all sections of the community.
  • Good conceptual and research skills, with the ability to value add to information and to assist in the identification of issues.
  • Ability to work autonomously and prioritise work with minimal supervision.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) VPSG-3 full-time, fixed term position available until 30 June 2027.
  • Position located at the Victoria Police Centre, 311 Spencer Street, Docklands.  While this position has a nominated usual place of work, the position may be required to work at other locations, in accordance with the provisions of the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident, or hold a valid work permit or Visa.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
