Position Details

Victoria Police are currently advertising 1 x Part-time (0.80 FTE) Administrative / Property Officer position within Southern Metro Region Division Two initially based out of Chelsea Police Complex. This role is regarded as an essential part of the team as it assists in all administrative and property functions for all units within the complex. The position is responsible for providing an effective service delivery to ensure that Sworn Police Officers can continue their work on the frontline in an environment where there is an ever-increasing demand upon service delivery.

Your duties will include:

  • Receive, record, and distribute mail and correspondence.
  • Provide general office support tasks, including the operation and maintenance of office equipment and ordering for the station or work unit.
  • Undertake the preparation, maintenance and management of various confidential records and registers which can be manual and electronic.
  • Be actively involved in providing daily administrative / property support within a busy complex.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in providing high level administrative services in a confidential environment.
  • Great interpersonal skills with an ability to work effectively within a dynamic team environment.
  • Ability to communicate well with key internal and external stakeholders using a variety of communication channels and platforms.
  • Ability to maintain systematic and accurate administrative records.
  • Have an ability to prioritise work and meet strict deadlines with minimal supervision and a commitment to high service delivery standards.
  • Have strong computer skills.
  • Show initiative and proactive work practices.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • One (1) Part Time (0.8 FTE) Ongoing (4 days per week) VPSG2 Administrative / Property Office position available.
  • This is position is part-time, with an estimated salary of $43,156.80 per annum.
  • Initial training for this role will be provided at Chelsea Police Complex (312 Station Street, Chelsea VIC 3196).
  • Please be advised that after the completion of training the successful applicant may be required to work at any of the following locations within Southern Metro Region Division Two; Moorabbin Police Complex, Chelsea Police Complex, Mordialloc Police Complex, Cheltenham Police Complex, Bayside Police Complex and Caulfield Police Complex.
  • The incumbent will be required to complete the OHS requirements of the organisation, which may include local level training relating to equipment usage and Hazardous Chemicals.
  • The successful candidate will be required to undergo pre-employment checks which may include fingerprint checks and misconduct screening.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa.
