Position Details

Working within the Strategy and Planning (Education and Awareness) team within Security Management Services, Information, System and Security Command you will be overall responsible for the development, maintenance and/or delivery of protective security education and awareness, management, and/or oversight of protective security portfolio holders. You will also support and assist the Unit Manager in the development, implementation and evaluation of protective security education, training programs and activities.

Your duties will include:

  • Conducting regular reviews to identify strengths, weaknesses and evaluate corporate protective security awareness, compliance and maturity
  • Developing, managing, implementing and evaluating of protective security education and awareness programs
  • Developing, managing, coordinating, and supporting Protective Security Portfolio Holders in the completion of their portfolio accountabilities and raising their profiles and awareness
  • Developing and maintaining all protective security education and training material and conducting regular reviews to ensure the information is current
  • Delivery of and/or evaluation of the quality of protective security education and training delivered across Victoria Police

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Demonstrated experience in development, implementation and evaluation of education and awareness programs within protective security or similar program
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in analysis and design of education and training programs
  • Certificate IV in training and assessment (TAE40116 or TAE40110) is highly desirable

Requirements and relevant information:

  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head.  To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
