  • VPSG-4 range - $81,354 - $92,304 p.a. + super + leave loading
  • One (1) Full time, Fixed term (until 31/05/2019) position available
  • Working within the Organisational Performance Division, Capability Department located at Victoria Police Centre, 637 Flinders Street, Docklands.

About the role:

Primarily working in Corporate Statistics, Organisation Performance Division, this position requires high level of statistical and analytical support within the team. The role involves leading or participating in developing and delivering effective and efficient statistical management programs, methodology and systems. The ideal candidate will possess the ability of working with tight timelines, strong communication skills and manage priorities.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Leading or participating in developing and delivering effective and efficient statistical management programs, methodology and systems that supports Victoria Police corporate goals and strategies, as well as public sector and social requirements;
  • Providing a consultancy and review service to management relating to delivery of statistical management and associated services;
  • Providing major input into the examination, development and review of practices, standards and procedures with key stakeholders relating to statistical data;
  • Maintaining a comprehensive knowledge of developments and initiatives relevant to improving statistical services.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Proven experience in the field of statistical management;
  • Highly developed and demonstrated ability to formulate, evaluate and recommend sound policies and strategies;
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in statistics or related field is highly desirable;
  • Experience in the use of statistical software in particular SAS is highly desirable.

Requirements and relevant information:

*The successful candidate may be required to undergo and successfully obtain and maintain a National Security Clearance to the level determined by the Department Head. To obtain this clearance applicants must be an Australian Citizen;

**Your usual place of work will be within the Organisational Performance Division, Capability Department; however you may be required to work at any other division within the Department as required.
