Position Details

  • VPSG3 range $63,629 - $77,259 p.a. + super + leave loading
  • Two (2) Full time / ongoing positions
  • Working within the Operation Performance Division, located at the Victoria Police Centre, 637 Flinders Street Docklands VIC*

     

About the role:    

      As the successful applicant you will be reporting to senior statisticians and some of your duties will include:

  • Maintenance of corporate statistical systems and data from operational systems
  • Ensure data quality assurances are conducted for the reliability of the data including monitoring backlog
  • Sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the application of statistical management 

Some of your duties will include:

  • Service requests for data/statistics to internal and external customers.
  • Assist in supporting a large number of Intel/DIU analysts with their day-to-day queries regarding Statistics and SAS EG using corporate data sets as outlined above.
  • Maintain and publish regular statistical reports 

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Sound knowledge of and demonstrated experience in the application of statistical management
  • Qualifications in statistics, computing or social science is desirable
  • Experience in statistical analysis using Statistical Software is highly desirable
  • Experience is use of SAS software is advantageous 

Requirements and relevant information:

*Your usual place of work will be within the Operation Performance Division, Corporate Strategy and Operational Improvement Department, however you may be required to work at any other division within the Department / Command as required.
