As the successful applicant, you will be reporting directly to the Senior Financial Analyst, Financial Hub Operational Infrastructure. Working in collaboration with a broad range of stakeholders, you will have excellent communications skills – both written and verbal. Your experience in financial analysis will support and inform the Operational Infrastructure Leadership Group around budget forecasting and associated risks. You will also be working in closely with Business Services Unit and responsible for monitoring and meeting reporting milestones

Position Details

As the successful applicant, some of your duties will include:

  • Providing authoritative advice on a range of complex corporate financial management services
  • Developing business plans and service delivery options
  • Initiating research and analysis on the effectiveness of specific financial issues, initiatives and practices
  • Preparing technical reports at an advanced professional level

 

Skills and experience:

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Expertise in leading and providing financial management services
  • Demonstrated high level experience in the development and implementation of financial strategies
  • Demonstrated experience as a finance officer
  • Comprehensive knowledge of governance and administrative arrangements associated with general government processes
  • Highly developed conceptual, analytical and communication skills

 

Requirements and relevant information:

  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant field such as commerce, finance, accounting or economics is highly desired.
  • The successful candidate may be required to undergo and successfully obtain and maintain a National Security Clearance to the level determined by the Department Head. To obtain this clearance applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
  • The incumbent will be required to complete the OHS requirements of the organisation, which may include local level training relating to equipment usage and Hazardous Chemicals.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head.  To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen
