Position Details

Your duties will include:

  • Assessing, researching and providing advice to management on proposed policy and legislative changes or government initiatives affecting the firearm, private security or weapons industries.
  • Implementing policy and legislative changes affecting the firearm, private security or weapons industries.
  • Ensuring Licencing and Regulation Division (LRD) processes comply with relevant legislation and are applied consistently.
  • Developing and maintaining a database of divisional Standard operating Procedures.
  • Handling of complaints and compliments.
  • Managing and maintaining content of new and existing forms.
  • Internal and external stakeholder communications.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Strong time management skills.
  • Project experience.
  • A keen eye for detail.
  • Good communication.
  • A team player mentality.
  • Well-developed conceptual, research and analytical skills and an ability to prepare briefing papers, reports and correspondence.
