Position Details

  • Working within the Logistical Support Division, Operational  Infrastructure  Department located at Collingwood *

About the role:

As the successful applicant you will be responsible for the administration of logistics associated with the maintenance scheduling of Victoria Police accountable equipment.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Maintain asset management systems for various equipment in use by Victoria Police including the accurate recording of any asset movements to Regions / Departments.
  • Undertake the administration associated with maintenance scheduling of Victoria Police accountable equipment.
  • Participate in the periodical and / or adhoc stocktake of Victoria Police accountable equipment including liaising with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Undertake accountabilities associated with the manual handling and movement of accountable equipment in compliance with the Occupational Health & Safety Act, the Firearms Act, and the Control of Weapons Act.
  • Work successfully and effectively, either independently or within a team environment.
  • Assist in the preparation of logistics plans.


As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Knowledge or experience of recording maintenance activity and asset movement in an asset management system.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify and remedy service gaps through the application of sound logistical solutions.
  • Proven ability to interact and establish working relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers and team members.


Requirements and relevant information:

  • Possess a current Victorian Driver Licence and hold, or qualify within three (3) months, a White Class Driver Authority as some travel and movement of equipment is required as part of this position.

*Your usual place of work will be within the Logistical Support Division, Operational Infrastructure Department, however you may be required to work at any other division within the Department as required.
