Position Details

About the role:
The Road Policing Operations and Investigation Division is located within Road Policing Command. The overall objective of the Division is to reduce the frequency and severity of collisions while promoting road safety by providing professional road policing services within Victoria Police. The Division is made up of key road policing resources which are deployed state-wide to support the regions in delivering road safety outcomes. The Division encompasses the Major Collision Investigation Unit, Heavy Vehicle Unit, Heavy Vehicle Crime Investigation Unit, State Highway Patrol, Solo Unit, Technology Enforcement Support Unit, Road Policing Drug and Alcohol Section (RPDAS) Operations and RPDAS Training and Research Unit.

The Project Administrator role will provide administration and project support to the Divisional Superintendent and other senior managers within the Division. The role will be diverse, requires flexibility and is likely to undertake a wide variety of work across the division.

Your duties will include:

  • Reporting to the Divisional Superintendent
  • Providing high level administrative support to the Divisional Superintendent
  • Engaging with a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Providing secretariat duties to relevant committees, governance groups and project working groups
  • Management of administrative databases and records
  • Other duties as required to support the Road Policing Operations and Investigation Division.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Demonstrated administrative experience
  • A proven history of producing high quality work
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work with limited supervision and/or as a member of a team

Requirements and relevant information:

  • The usual place of work will be within the Road Policing Operations and Investigation Division, Road Policing Command; however you may be required to work at any other division within the Command as required.
