Position Details

About the role:
As the successful applicant you will be part of a management team in charge of educational consultants and provide strategic advice to the Superintendent in charge of the Quality Education Division.  You will also be required to:

  • Interpret and provide expert advice and consultation to stakeholders to ensure qualifications on the Registered Training Organisation (RTO) scope, meet the requirements of nationally endorsed training packages and/or organisational requirements;
  • Provide advice to help ensure the Victoria Police RTO meets Australian Quality Training Framework (AQTF) and Victorian Registration and Qualifications Authority (VRQA) regulatory requirements;
  • Assist in development and review of standardised documentation, systems and processes to support quality training and assessment;
  • Manage and maintain an electronic Student Records Management System using a SAP program;
  • Work to continuously improve existing quality systems and processes;
  • Communicate and consult with relevant internal and external agencies on a range of education and training issues;
  • Work as a team member and contribute to a range of RTO education and training projects;

Some of your duties will include:

  • Reporting to the Superintendent, Quality Education Division and maintaining RTO policies and procedures required to meet AQTF standards and VRQA guidelines;
  • Providing support and oversight in the administration of  internal audits and reporting findings to promote continuous improvement and quality assurance processes;
  • Ensuring training records are managed in accordance with RTO requirements, including the student record management system;
  • Interpreting and providing expert advice in consultation with stakeholders;
  • Promoting a Quality Assurance Strategy;
  • Assisting in the development and facilitation of targeted professional development, designed to support RTO activities;

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Well-developed communication, interpersonal and consultation skills with a demonstrated capacity to work effectively and collaboratively in a team based environment;
  • Well-developed conceptual, analytical, research and/or evaluation experience with the ability to prepare comprehensive specialised reports;
  • Demonstrated experience working within a RTO and VET sector qualifications;
  • A good understanding of electronic Student Records Management requirements;
  • Well-developed ability to project manage and prioritise work in a timely manner
