About the role:

Please note, whilst this role sits in an ICT environment, it is not a technical IT role. The role is around Workforce Strategy within an ICT environment.

The Information Services and Securities Command (ISSC) delivers high quality ICT services and Protective Security services to Victoria Police, enabling frontline members to deliver to the community.  To enhance the delivery and ensure service continuity into the future, the Workforce Strategy unit has been created within the Security and Management Service (SAMS) division. 

The ICT Support Coordinator role is aligned to Workforce Strategy and will primarily focus on contributing to, actively supporting and implementing workforce, communications and engagement strategies and plans. The role will continuously monitor and evaluate the processes and outcomes for quality and improvement opportunities. This role focuses on the workforce; it is internally dedicated and requires strong collaboration and engagement skills.

Your duties will include:

  • Supporting the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of workforce frameworks and processes aimed at ensuring workforce capability is developed and aligned to ICT services both now and into the future.
  • Maintaining effective key working relationships with internal and external stakeholders; vendor partners; and other service providers.
  • Supporting the delivery of consistently high quality services to the organisation, within the assigned portfolio.
  • Undertake other support/administrative activities as required.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • The ability to work collaboratively within a newly formed team and proactively support and contribute to the Command in a positive, motivated and can-do manner.
  • Experience in a Human Resources, Communications and/or Workforce Strategy environment.
  • A strong culture and engagement improvement capability.
  • Sound project management competency, along with a comprehensive analytical skillset.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • The successful candidate must be prepared to undergo and successfully obtain and maintain a National Security Clearance to the level determined by the Department Head. To obtain this clearance applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
  • The incumbent will be required to complete the OHS requirements of the organisation, which may include local level training relating to equipment usage and Hazardous Chemicals.
  • A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline such as Human Resources, Workforce Strategy or Business Management is highly desirable.
