Administration Officer

As the successful applicant you will be part of a dynamic team which is responsible for providing administrative support to the members at the Resource Management Unit (RMU) within the Transit Safety Division.

Your primary responsibilities will be maintaining records and registers that are essential to tracking the movements of personnel at the Transit Safety Division. You will also be responsible for the administrative duties for members arriving and departing the Transit Safety Division.

Position Details

Your duties will include:

  • Administering and being accountable for the maintenance of data and spreadsheets.
  • Commitment and achievement in meeting a high level of customer service to all clients.
  • Attending to telephone, email and personal enquiries from both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Conducting audits on systems and processes with view to improve business.
  • Preparing for the arrival/departure of members to the Transit Safety Division.
  • Updating and maintaining records of all personal details of all members at the Transit Safety Division.
  • Undertaking duties as outlined in the Transit RMU administration instructions.
  • Undertaking duties as directed by supervisors at the RMU.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Sound computer skills with highly desirable for knowledge with excel.
  • Able to create and maintain a harmonious working environment and in line with all of Victoria Police objectives.
  • High work ethic.
  • Well-developed written and oral communication skills with the ability to deal effectively with both internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise work and operate with minimal supervision whilst meeting strict deadlines.
  • To produce high standard quality of work.
  • Ability work in a team environment.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • Working at the Transit Safety Division, located at 637 Flinders Street Docklands, 3008.
  • The successful applicant will be required to undergo National Security Vetting, achieve and maintain a security classification as determined by the Department Head.  To achieve this, applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
