Intelligence Support Officer

You will be required to perform intelligence based support through a broad range of administration tasks.

You will assist in collecting, collating and evaluation of intelligence data, as well as general correspondence, and the use of multiple data bases.

You will provide administrative support not limited to station books and interpose.

Position Details

Some of your duties will include:

  • Administrative and Intelligence Support Activities in line with the Investigation and Response Role.
  • Computer based tasks including report writing, data entry and spread sheets.
  • Collecting, collating and evaluation of intelligence data.
  • Maintenance of computer based systems for information and intelligence gathering.
  • Filing, record maintenance, archival storage and retrieval.
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with divisional members and internal and external customers.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of computer based skills.
  • Ability to work in a close team environment, and build productive working relationships.
  • Good attention to detail and research skills, with the ability to value add regarding information intelligence analysis.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • The successful candidate may be required to undergo and successfully obtain and maintain a National Security Clearance to the level determined by the Department Head. To obtain this clearance applicants must be an Australian Citizen.
  • The incumbent will be required to complete the OHS requirements of the organisation, which may include local level training relating to equipment usage and Hazardous Chemicals.
  • The position may require you to work outside the ordinary hours; overtime will be paid in accordance with the relevant Victorian Public Service Agreement.
  • VPSG-2 range $51,717- $66,414 p.a. + super + leave loading
  • One (1)  full time, ongoing positions available.
    • SD3 Investigation & Response (Including but not limited to: CIU-Greater Dandenong, CIU-Casey etc.)
