Position Details

Your duties will include:

  • Providing day to day supervision of Accounts Payable transactional staff.
  • Ensuring transactional performance targets are met and maintained.
  • Developing, maintaining and updating standard operating procedures and processes.
  • Providing training and advice to your team and wider users of ProcessIT and Oracle.
  • Monitoring ProcessIT and troubleshoot any issues.
  • Monitoring Oracle Payables Module and troubleshoot any issues (invoices on hold).
  • Identify research and analyse the effectiveness and efficiency of specific Accounts Payable financial issues to ensure integrity and accuracy within the scoped finance functions.
  • Respond to general Accounts Payable queries via the phone and the necessary position based email account emails.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to identify processes tasks required to achieve team, branch and department objectives.
  • Well-developed conceptual, analytical, interpersonal and written communication skills, with experience in identifying and effectively communicating themes and issues within financial models to a non-expert audience.
  • Sound knowledge and understanding of VPFS Oracle system and knowledge of ProcessIT are desirable.
  • Sound knowledge in the delivery of quality outcomes in the accounting processing and transactional services areas.
  • Sound knowledge of governance and administrative arrangements associated with general Government financial processes.
  • People management skills.
