Position Details

  • VPSG2 range  $50,077 - $64,307 p.a + super + leave loading pro-rata
  • One (1) full time, ongoing position available
  • Working within the SALUS Taskforce, Professional Standards Command, located at 8-14 Cobden Street, North Melbourne


About the role:

This position is one of two Intelligence Support Officers working at Taskforce SALUS, an internal investigations taskforce working within Victoria Police.

The successful applicant will provide a wide range of administrative and intelligence support functions in support of ongoing taskforce operations.  You will be required to meet high level customer service expectations and have the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal & external stakeholders. 

Some of your duties will include:

  • Ensuring effective delivery of administrative support activities associated with the Taskforce
  • Assisting in collecting, collating and basic evaluation of information in respect to intelligence data.
  • Assisting in maintaining computer based systems for the purpose of information and intelligence gathering.
  • Undertaking filing, record maintenance, archival storage and retrieval (soft and hard data formats)
  • Developing and maintaining a good working relationship with other taskforce members.


Skills and experience:

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Experience in a range of administrative support duties, preparation of reports, correspondence and spreadsheets.
  • Good computer skills, particularly in relation to word processing, data entry and software packages and applications.
  • Knowledge of or experience in basic analysis;
  • Good conceptual and research skills.
  • Commitment and achievement in meeting a high level of customer service to all clients. 


Requirements and relevant information:

  • Possess a current Victorian Driver Licence and hold or qualify for a White Class Driver Authority within three (3) months.
  • As the successful applicant you must have or qualify within 3 months for a white class drivers authority


*Your usual place of work will be within the Taskforce SALUS Operations, Professional Standards Command however you may be required to work at any other division within the Department/Command as required.
