  • VPSG-3 range $64,583- $78,418 p.a. + super + leave loading
  • One full time, fixed term (until 30/06/2018) position available
  • Working within the Health, Safety and Deployment Division, Human Resource Department, located at the Victoria Police Centre, 637 Flinders Street, Docklands 3008*



About the role

The Applicant Attraction and Project team is a vital component of the organisation focused on the attraction of prospective applicants for Police, Protective Services Officer, Police Custody Officer and Victorian Public Service roles within Victoria Police. The team provides assistance and advice to both internal and external stakeholders for the recruitment, selection and employment of all potential Victoria Police employees.

An exciting career opportunity exists for an enthusiastic Project Administrator; you will work within this team to support the recruitment and attraction activities for the roles.


Some of your duties will include:

  • Managing recruitment related projects and initiatives
  • Conducting Information Sessions for prospective applicants and careers advisors, outlining details of the role and requirements
  • Attending Career exhibitions, events and Universities to promote all roles within Victoria Police
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and  potential applicants; explaining the application concept and offering professional advice in response to pre-application queries
  • Delivering training and providing advice to current employees in the area of recruitment and employment



As the successful applicant you will have:

  • Proven Project Management experience
  • An understanding of the customer service requirements of the role and a demonstrated record of strong commitment and achievement in meeting customer needs
  • Proven ability to communicate professionally and succinctly to a range of internal and external stakeholders
  • Possess highly developed communication and presentation skills that can be adapted to suit the audience and situation
  • The ability to work on a number of recruitment projects concurrently, including information sessions and presentations



Requirements and relevant information:

  • The incumbent will be required to complete the OHS requirements of the organisation, which may include local level training relating to equipment usage and Hazardous Chemicals.

*Your usual place of work will be within the Health, Safety and Deployment Division, Human Resource Department; however you may be required to work at any other division within the Department as required.
