Position Details

  • VPSG4 range $81,354 - $92,304 p.a. + super + leave loading.
  • One (1) full time, fixed term (until 30/06/21) position available.
  • Working within the Health Safety and Deployment Division, Human Resource Department located at the Victoria Police Centre, 637 Flinders St, Docklands 3008**

About the role:

The Police Alternative Employment Unit (PAEU) manages the attraction, recruitment and deployment of applicants with prior police experience including former Victoria Police members who are registered with the Police Registration and Services Board (PRSB). The unit also manages the Constable Qualifying Program (CQP) which involves PSOS seeking to transition to policing.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Conduct extensive recruitment activities which will include coordinating, assisting and conducting selection interviews. 
  • Maintain comprehensive, detailed and confidential recruitment records; and prepare a range of reports and written material, including analysis papers, selection reports and briefing notes.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as the PRSB, Professional Standards Command (PSC), Medical Advisory Unit (MAU), Police Psychology Unit (PPU), Recruiting Services Branch (RSB), People Development Command (PDC) and Regions/Departments/Commands.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Well developed written and oral communication skills, with a focus on stakeholder engagement.
  • Ability to work within a small team.
  • Excellent communications skills.
  • Proven recruitment experience.

Requirements and relevant information:

**Your usual place of work will be within the Health Safety and Deployment Division, Human Resource Department, however you may be required to work at any other division within the Human Resource Department as required.
