Executive Advisor

The role requires a strong working relationship with the Assistant Commissioner as well as requirements to work with the Commander and Divisional Superintendents in projects and as part of the Regional Leadership Group.

A unique skill set is required for this role which includes experience in stakeholder management and engagement, leadership skills, project management, policy and research skills, negotiation skills and the ability to drive recommendations which contribute to organisational strategy change and development.

Other requirements include the ability to build the regions capabilities and to translate strategic objectives into operational and business goals.

Position Details

Your duties will include:

  • Management and delivery of projects on behalf of the Assistant Commissioner Southern Metro Region including the ongoing Vehicle Theft Reduction Plan and various Regional Service Delivery Projects.
  • Engagement with Media and Corporate Communications regarding communications strategies for the region and applicable projects. 
  • Ongoing stakeholder engagement and representation on behalf of the region.   
  • Being an active member of the Southern Metro Regional Leadership Team.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Demonstrated ability to build strong and ongoing relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to conceptualise and coordinate several large projects.

  • The successful applicant will be based at the Southern Metro Regional Headquarters, 50 Langhorne Street, Dandenong, Victoria.
