Position Details

  • VPSG-4 range $79,955 - $90,716 p.a. + super + leave loading*
  • Full time, fixed term positions until 31/01/2019 
  • Working within the Financial Services Division, located at the Victoria Police Centre, 637 Flinders Street, Docklands**



About the role:

As the successful applicant you will be part of the Financial Systems and Process Improvement (FSPI) project to effectively undertake the Victoria Police's financial application upgrade and identify, and implement financial service transformation assisting the Stream Lead and other subject matter experts in gathering, validating, and documenting information for the project.

Some of your duties will include:

  • Contribute to the design, build and facilitation of workshops across the organisation to a diverse range of stakeholders;
  • Undertake process mapping and analysis to identify the processes and activities performed in core and support financial business functions;
  • Complete re-engineering activities of processes, policy and practice to improve performance;
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of the existing financial system;
  • Completion of a business solution design document to define the requirements for the financial application upgrade;
  • Identify the cultural barriers that could impact successful implementation of change; and
  • Implementation and change management activities to modernise financial processing and upgrading of the financial application to increase efficiency, and provide full visibility and accountability across the organisation.

Skills and experience:

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Proven research and project skills
  • A demonstrated ability to prioritise and complete tasks to meet strict deadlines in a dynamic environment with limited supervision
  • Well-developed interpersonal and oral and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail
  • A proven ability to monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction as well as constructively manage stakeholder issues

Requirements and relevant information:

* As of 1 January 2018, the VPSG-4 salary range will be $81,354 - $92,304 p.a. + super + leave loading

** Your usual place of work will be within the Financial Services Division, Business Services Department, however you may be required to work at any other division within the Business Services Department as required.
