Position Details

The Mobile Technology(MT) project will equip frontline police with handheld mobile devices to access operational information in the field and mitigate some of the inherent risks of policing to members and the public. The MT project is being delivered in two stages – Initial Deployment and Full Deployment. The Initial Deployment stages are in progress and comprise four releases of functionality and 218 devices deployed to a targeted user group, from October 2017 through to late-2018. Full Deployment scope comprises the delivery of the remaining functionality and approximately 11,000 devices.

  • Two (2) x Full time, fixed term until 30/06/2020 positions avaliable

Your duties will include:

  • Lead, manage and coordinate the successful implementation of major multi-functional corporate projects
  • Actively plan, monitor, manage and deliver project objectives and outcomes to ensure the project remains within agreed budget, scope and timeframes.
  • Establish strong networks with key stakeholders and clients and actively promote and drive timely communication and manage expectations and outcomes.

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Providing leadership and managing the efficient progress of corporate projects through all project management phases.
  • Demonstrated record of achievement at a senior level in successfully managing the implementation of complex large-scale projects.
  • Extensive senior project management experience in all elements of a project cycle..
  • Demonstrated record of sound financial management.
  • Highly developed interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills.
  • Highly developed conceptual and analytical skills.
  • Proven ability to monitor client and stakeholder satisfaction.

Requirements and relevant information:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification would be highly desirable.
  • Applicants must be an Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or hold a valid work permit or visa
